Rural Nurses On The Right Course
Ulysses' Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital wants all its nurses to head East for a new nursing experience at the Kansas Medical Center. The medical center has started a program through which the rural hospital nurses will be traveling to the city of Kansas Hospital to work for short durations. The program allows rural hospital nurses to work with medical cases they don't often see, and at the same time helps the medical center which is short of nurses. 35 beds Ulysses is the only hospital in the program though. 12 of the 26 nurses working there have thought to give it a try. Quite many of the nurses have already worked at the medical center for 3-4 days, in rotational shifts of 8-12 hours.
One of the most enthusiastic people to participate in this program is a 35 year old registered nurse, having spent the previous 5 years in Ulysses. She was assigned to the hematology department, and had the opportunity to work with patients of liver, kidney and bone marrow transplants. The medical center's outreach plane takes these nurses to the Kansas City and they stay at the medical center.
Bob Wilson Hospital's administrator said that this program has an unbelievable potential for nurses for all the hospitals in the southwest Kansas region. It makes it possible for them to work with state of the art equipment and at an advanced level. Obtain further advice on jobs for doctors and the subject of medical jobs.
He then added that it is not just the participants, but in fact the entire hospital that will make use of the knowledge so gained; and use it to provide only the best care to its patients. This knowledge proves to be a big asset to the hospital. As stressed by the director of nursing services at the medical center, the purpose of the program is twofold. It is beneficial for hard working nurses as it enables them to enhance their skills and get full time work and this in turn helps the alleviation of a shortage of nurses at the Medical Center.
According to the Medical Center it is wonderful that the nurses have fit in their schedules quite comfortably. As the staff, the nurses are ostensibly good practitioners and good workers and just need to be provided with general instruction. The staff received them with welcoming arms. Without the seven passenger outreach plane, the program would have been in jeopardy as this plane takes the doctors to western Kansas to give educational seminars.
Nurses from Manhattan, Fort Scott, Paola and Topeka drive till the Kansas City for part time work in the medical center. While returning, two to three nurses can go in a plane at one time. One of the passenger nurses said that traveling east, from Ulysses to Kansas, requires much preparation, but is definitely worth it.
Though it's a time and efforts consuming process, she would certainly go again. The nurse pointed out that she has a lot of support from her daughters 8 and 14 years old respectively who want her to have the opportunity to enhance her skills. The education gained from this experience, she hopes will be brought home for good use.

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences is in Kochi. Its not very clear from the website if the MBBS degree is recognized by MCI or not. If not how do the students who pass from there get their licence to practice. Please help me.
As far as I know, the MBBS degree is recognized by MCI.
